Van Persie will come to the Gunners when the transfer window re-opens on May 17, two days after Arsenal play their last match of the season against Leicester City at Highbury.
My guess is that he’ll be used as the long-term replacement for Dennis Bergkamp, aka, “the non-flying Dutchman,” aka, “the Dutch master.”
Bergkamp is close to signing a one-year extension with Arsenal, and is expected to retire at the end of the 2004-05 season.
