Giants release Kerry Collins

…doom themselves to last-place finishes for forseeable future

Not that I’m that big a fan of Kerry Collins, but in my mind, releasing a quarterback with experience in favor of starting an untested rookie in the city of New York is insane. Sure Eli Manning may turn out to be the next John Elway, but as we all know, Elway was terrible his rookie season. Well, what’s done is done, and there’s no looking back. However, I hope against hope that I don’t turn on ESPN tomorrow - or any day for that matter - to discover that the Giants have signed Kurt Warner. I can’t stand that smug SOB.
