Rosenborg 1 - 1 Arsenal

Freddie Ljungberg’s 6th minute goal gave the Gunners a dream start, but some nightmarish play in the second half sees Rosenborg pull level in tonight’s Champions League match in Norway

It all started so well. Arsenal had the majority of possesion, and that paid off with Freddie’s 3rd goal of the season. However, it seems that perhaps the Gunners were a bit guilty of thinking that the goal would stand. How else can you explain some of the lack-luster passing and the less than clincial finishing that caused double-digit attempts to come up empty.

Arsenal should have won this match three or four times over, but in the end, a draw is certainly better than a loss. A win at home, and a draw on the road, four points after two matches, and top of the group. Usually, we’d be happy with that, but oh, what could have been.
