Right back at it!

Uncle Joe sure doesn’t waste any time. Back from Mexico only a short while, he’s returned his attention to the massive undertaking that is the construction of a Live Steam layout. Here’s his latest update:

Hi folks. Just came in from the woodshop where it was a balmy 39 degrees today (inside). I managed to finish building the first #8 right track switch for the 1″ scale railroad. I laid it on the snow outside and snapped the accompanying photo. This is the first 1″ scale switch I have built. Many more must follow! The length of other straight and curved track panels constructed and stacked to date is 1570 feet. Springtime and railroad track laying are only a couple of months away!

Bye for now,
Joe K.
