I’ve mentioned my buddy Brian several times on these pages, and have told you about his exploits in homebrewing. He’s actually quite an accomplished brewmaster, and has won several awards. Today, after many scheduling snafus, I finally got the chance to take my first steps into the world of homebrewing. Using Brian’s equipment, we brewed up a batch of MoreBeer.com’s Irish Red Ale. It was a hell of a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to bottling it in two weeks (not to mention tasting it in another two after that.)

I am looking forward to trying one. You were lucky to get to use Bri’s setup - very nice. Maybe next time he will have you do it as a stovetop boil.
