WBA 0 - 2 Arsenal

Robin Van Persie showed just why he’s being tabbed “the next Dennis Bergkamp” during an incredible display of skill to score what would serve as the winning goal during an otherwise dour match at West Bromwich Albion last night.

Edu added a second late on, and that was all she wrote.

The win reinforces the Gunners hold on second place, up on ManUre by four points. Chelski captured their first title in fifty years (their second in their century-old existance) with a win over Bolton on Saturday, so it’s up to Arsenal to hold off ManUre for that automatic Champions League qualification spot.

Next up is Liverpool at Highbury on Sunday. ‘Pool plays Chelksi in the Champions League semi-final tonight at Anfield. I’m hoping for a ‘Pool win (that’s how much I hate Chelski), but regardless of the outcome, I’m hoping that they’ll be a bit hungover, and it’ll be another three points for the Gunners.
