Despite never having visited London, I have had an extraordinary pull to the city since I was a young child. I’ve never quite understood it, but it’s been a place close to my heart for over twenty years. My ties with Arsenal Football Club have strengthened this pull, as I’ve become friends with many who call London and the surrounding area home. Therefore, I found myself effected profoundly by the events which took place on Thursday.
It’s a small gesture to be sure, but on Thursday night, I hung my Union Jack in the living room window:
