Happy Halloween everybody! We had a great time at the party on Saturday. Special thanks to Christine & Bex for supplying extra snacks and decorations. Oh, and thanks a lot to Joel and Mandy for bringing the jalepeno poppers which I burned my mouth on!
We had nine people dress up in Beatles-related costumes, and all nine participated in the “karaoke” portion of the evening.
Becca dressed and performed as “Michelle”
Christine dressed and peformed as “The Long & Winding Road”
Erik dressed as “George Harrison’s Cancer” and performed “Here Comes The Sun”
Alyssa dressed as a Viagra pill and performed “A Hard Day’s Night”
Steve dressed and performed as “I Follow The Sun”
Wooly dressed as Mark David Chapman and performed “Flying”
Shannon dressed and performed as “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds”
Joel did not wear a costume, but performed a hilarious version of “Yesterday.”
I also participated, dressing and performing as “Rain.”
Shannon had not originally planned on performing, so she and her friend Holly served as our judges. Joel’s wife Mandy was going to judge, but recused herself lest their be any accusations of bias.
We decided on two categories, best female performance and best male performance.
Christine was awarded a $25 gift certificate to Sherif Zacki’s Spa and Salon in Greenville, DE for her rendition of “The Long & Winding Road.”
Joel was awarded one bottle each of La Chouffe and Chimay Grand Reserve for his version of “Yesterday”, entitled “Leprosy.”
