Bolton 1 - 0 Arsenal

Youngsters give good account of themselves, but still fall to Bolton at the Reebok.

Stelios Giannakopoulos’ header with five minutes left was enough to send Wanderers through to the fifth round. Arsenal were hard done by to be knocked out today, as the very young side played as well if not better than Bolton for the entire match. The finishing was just not there for the Gunners, but honestly, I really can’t feel bad about this one. Sure, it’s disappointing to be knocked out of the cup - especially as holders - but, it was always going to be difficult at Bolton, and like I said, the youngsters played very well.
