Defensive mistakes abound as Arsenal lose yet again.
Sol Campbell made two terrible errors during the first half of today’s match which directly led to West Ham goals. Thierry Henry pulled one back for Arsenal during first half stoppage time to make it 1-2 at the half.
During the intermission, Sol was pulled in favor of Sebastian Larsson. There was no injury report forthcoming, and according to reports on the BBC, Sol didn’t like being subbed one bit. He showered, dressed and left Highbury as his teammates fought to overcome the deficit he’d put them in.
Larsson did as well as to be expected, considering he’s a midfielder, and was exposed by West Ham for a third goal with about 10 minutes left.
Bobby Pires scored late to give some hope to the home crowd, but in the end, the story is another three points dropped, and some serious drama involving Campbell.
If it’s true that he left at halftime, then he needs to be fined and benched. That is just unacceptable.
I’m too disgusted to type anymore.
