Real Madrid 0 - 1 Arsenal

Perhaps the biggest win of the year, in the biggest game of the year so far.

EDIT: 2:46 PM, the next day.

I honestly meant to add more last night, but I fell asleep really early last night - somewhere between 9 and 10. Anyway, I don’t have much time now other than to say that it was a monster performance from a extremely weakened Arsenal side. Thierry Henry played like a captain, and I can’t say enough about Cesc Fabregas. The kid is going to be a superstar. Emmanuel Eboue, Alex Hleb, and Mathieu Flamini all had their games of the season, and Freddie Ljungberg looked like he did 12 months ago. Jose Reyes revels in torturing Real Madrid, and spent his entire time on the pitch running around like a madman. However, my man of the match goes to keeper Jens Lehmann, who made several outstanding saves to keep Real Madrid at bay.

Going back to Highbury up 1-0 with the away goal advantage is huge. Let’s hope the boys keep it up on March 8. (I wonder if it’ll be on ESPN2…)

1-0 to the ARSENAL, 1-0 to the ARSENAL, 1-0 to the ARSENAL 1-0 to the ARSENAL!!!Arsenal deserved the win and should have scored more…Reyes was sensational compared to other displays I think he needs to be in his home country to play very well…But every player had a reason to be happy with his performance!! And what about the beautiful goal scores by KING Henry…skipped past 4 challenges like there was no one there!! An all round sensational performance from all the gunners and every fan should be proud to support such a courageous young team!! The future is bright my friends!! Let’s hope we end the season with a bang before the World Cup!!
