Blown chances tell the tale of yet another point dropping performance by the Gunners. This time the donkey was Adebayor, missing not one, but two sitters.
Arsenal started well, and Henry opened the scoring in the 36th minute. However, Pompey were very much up for it, and their persistance paid off with a 66th minute Lua Lua equalizer.
The other talking point is of course Sol Campbell’s return to the starting 11. Sol had a relatively good game, but came out worse for wear. He ended up needing stitches over his right eye, and it sounded like his nose may have been broken. Can you say karma?
The 4th spot is now out of our hands. We must hope for slip up by the Scum.
Next up is WBA at home on “Dennis Bergkamp Day”. Here’s hoping the Dutch master can inspire the Gunners to three desperately needed points.
