Giants 16 - 14 Ravens

Despite the scoreline, there’s still much cause for concern as Steve McNair and the Ravens’ # 1 offense(?!?!?!) had no trouble with the Giants’ # 1 defense, moving the ball quite easily during the early portions of the game.

True to form, Eli Manning had an “okay” game, linking up with Plaxico Burress on a 43-yard pass on his last completition of the night, putting the Giants in position to score their first touchdown of the pre-season. After the Ravens were called for pass interference in the end zone on a third-down play, Brandon Jacobs did just that, tying the score at 7 early in the second quarter.

Trailing 16-7 midway through the fourth quarter, the Giants were thrown a lifeline in the form of a Mike Jennings 57 yard punt return for a touchdown. The momentum swung to the Giants favor, and in the dying moments of the fourth quarter, Jay Feely kicked a 29 yard field goal to win it for New York.

The Giants next pre-season game is at home against Kansas City on Thursday night. Could I be lucky enough for it to be shown on national TV? I doubt it.

Man I was pissed this game was not on TV. I went as far as going out to a couple sports bars….no luck. Then I got in my car and my Sirius Beeps for an alert and lets me know the GMEN preseason game in on the radio! I got to hear the the punt return for a TD and a couple min after and read the rest. I dont like preseason a ton but was thrilled they won!

I can’t believe someone would waste time, gas, and money in hopes of watching the Giants game - and a preseason game no less! Bouncing around town in search of a bar playing third string Giants. No wonder you never found one. Awesomo says, “LAME!”

What the hell is American Football?? The only football I know is that black and white round ball which is kicked around by the likes of HENRY, RONALDINHO, GERRARD, CANNAVARO…etc etc American Football is just big guys whith helmets, running around, fighting over a ball which is thrown by another big guy…it’s like a mix of English Rugby and Wrestling…I can’t understand why it’s sooo popular in the States
