Arsenal 0 - 0 CSKA Moscow

Anyone have some asprin? I don’t know how much I’ll be able to type, what with this raging headache I’ve got after banging my head against the wall for 95 minutes.

Arsenal had something like 25 shots on goal, all of them went begging. The most glaring miss was Thomas Rosicky’s pass into the keeper’s stomach from one foot out when the rest of the net was WIDE open.

I suppose a draw isn’t the worst result, but based on the breathtaking attacking play leading up to the missed chances, my expectations for pulling off a convincing result were much higher.

The draw puts the Gunners at second in the group on seven points. The other match saw Porto beat Hamburg 3-1, which moved the Portuguese side into a tie for second with Arsenal, and eliminated Hamburg from Europe.

The lame-duck Hamburg are Arsenal’s next competition in group play, visiting Ashburton Grove on Novemeber 21.

Premiership action is front and center this weekend, with a 8:30 AM ET kickoff against West Ham at Upton Park on Sunday morning. The match is being shown live in the US on Setanta USA.
