Just one day before the negotiation window closed, the Yankees and Japanese pitcher Kei Igawa agreed to a 5-year deal reported to be worth around $20 million.
It cost the Yanks $26 million just to talk to Igawa, the transfer fee going to his old club, Hanshin Tigers. I don’t know about you, but that seems to me like a hell of a lot for a 4th or 5th guy in the rotation. Hope he’s worth it.
