The Beast went absolutely crazy, scoring four goals as Arsenal win a wild League Cup Quarterfinal, beating Liverpool 6-3 at Anfield this afternoon.
Jeremie Aliadiere opened the scoring 27 minutes into the match, but his goal was quickly canceled out by a 33rd minute Robbie Fowler strike.
It seemed that the sides would be going in level at the half, but in the last five minutes to go before the break, the Gunners exploded for 3 more goals, Alex Song bagging a goal in the 40th minute, and Julio Baptista scoring a brace before the whistle.
Fifteen minutes into the second half, Baptista had his hat-trick, making it 5-1 to the Arsenal. However, Gerrard and Hyppia each scored to make things interesting at 5-3 and ten minutes left to play.
The Beast was on a rampage, and got his fourth of the night in the 84th minute, taking the wind out of the Liverpool sails, and sending the Gunners on to a grudge two-legged semi-final with Spuds.
