The cover art for the last book of the Harry Potter septology, “Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows” was released today. Drawn by Mary GrandPre, who has drawn the covers of all six previous books, this is the first time the image is actually a wraparound. Check out the image in super hi-res by clicking on the picture below:

I’m not near my books, but I’m pretty sure ALL the other 6 books were reach-arounds, I mean wrap-arounds, just not as dramatic as this one.
I looked at the super-high resolution picture, two stand outs to me. #1 - What is around Harry’s neck (I’m sure this will have significance), and #2 - It appears as if Harry and Voldermort are concentrating on the same thing, just off the page, - my question is, are they opposed forces focusing against each other OR are they actually working together toward a common goal? It’s AC/DC, could be both ways - Bri
Yeah, I know that the books have images on both sides, but they weren’t necessarily one big image. I did see what’s around Harry’s neck, and at first I thought maybe it was a time-turner, but I’m not certain. As for your second observation, that was my impression as well, and I’m left with the same questions. Very interesting. Four months to go.
