Mitchell & Robert do the Tim Qualls Show

Local public access talk show host Tim Qualls recently had Erik and Robert on as the musical guest on his show, “The Tim Qualls Show.” The two of them left there (barely) with TONS of stories. I’ve heard a sampling, and can’t wait to hear the rest. I’ll be sure to share them when I do. Until then, check out the video capture above.

US 3 - 1 Ecuador

Landon Donovan wore the captain’s armband today, and rewarded interim coach Bob Bradley’s faith by scoring a hat trick to pace the US to a 3-1 friendly win over Ecuador this afternoon.

After turning on the TV a few minutes after 12, I quickly ran to the kitchen to grab a glass of water before the match started. Imagine my surprise then, when I came back to the living room, to find that Donovan had scored from a 30-yard strike just 45 seconds into the match!

Felipe Caicedo scored for Ecuador just ten minutes later, and that’s how the teams went into the dressing rooms at the half.

After the break, the US seemed to have a bit of an edge in fitness level, and in the 66th minute, that advantage bore fruit in the form of two Donovan goals in the span of a minute.

The US have one more friendly during this international window, a match against Guatemala in Texas on Wednesday. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN2 @ 9 PM ET, so everyone who still watches “Lost” (and if you aren’t, that’s too bad, because it’s back to kicking major ass) will need to make sure to program their DVRs!

Have you heard? ESPN’s fantasy baseball is free…

Pirates Of The Carribean III Trailer Released

I’ve liked both of the first two movies. In fact, after Sherri and I watched “Dead Man’s Chest” after Christmas - neither of us had seen it in the theater - we both asked each other, “When does part three come out?!?!” Well, now we have our first taste of what’s to come, and so far, I’m still interested.

Everton 1 - 0 Arsenal

Sorry not to post this sooner, but Arsenal’s performance yesterday did nothing to ease my hangover, and so I went to bed immediately following the match. Anyway, as everyone knows by now, we have no goal scorers, and as such, we lost 1-0 to a scrappy Everton team determined not to lose at home.

Aliadiere missed his second sitter in as many games, and for some reason, Rosicky was never brought into the match. The back four formation was ridiculous. Why continue to play Gilbo back there? Hleb continues to make the wrong decision when playing in and around the penalty area. Oh, and to make matters worse, Theo’s now out for the rest of the season.

Just in time for an international break. Yeah! How I hate them so.

The one bright spot from yesterday’s match was the play of Abou Diaby. The midfielder seems to be back to full health, and really did have some moments where it looked like Paddy Vieira out there for the Gunners. Adebayor will be back against Liverpool, but who’ll be paired with him up front? Baptista? Aliadiere? Gunnersaurus?

It’s St. Paddy’s Day!
