Well, I see you got your brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat
Yes, I see you got your brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat
Well, you must tell me, baby
How your head feels under somethin’ like that
Under your brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat
Well, you look so pretty in it
Honey, can I jump on it sometime?
Yes, I just wanna see
If it’s really that expensive kind
You know it balances on your head
Just like a mattress balances
On a bottle of wine
Your brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat
Well, if you wanna see the sun rise
Honey, I know where
We’ll go out and see it sometime
We’ll both just sit there and stare
Me with my belt
Wrapped around my head
And you just sittin’ there
In your brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat
Well, I asked the doctor if I could see you
It’s bad for your health, he said
Yes, I disobeyed his orders
I came to see you
But I found him there instead
You know, I don’t mind him cheatin’ on me
But I sure wish he’d take that off his head
Your brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat
Well, I see you got a new boyfriend
You know, I never seen him before
Well, I saw him
Makin’ love to you
You forgot to close the garage door
You might think he loves you for your money
But I know what he really loves you for
It’s your brand new leopard-skin pill-box hat

Saw this on WSJ.com….
Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. said it will launch a channel dedicated to music from the Grateful Dead this summer. Grateful Dead Radio will play music from the iconic group around the clock, including live shows from the band’s archives and bootleg performances from fans. Sirius said the channel will also include on-air appearances by members of the band — drummer Mickey Hart and guitarist Bob Weir announced the new offering with the New York satellite radio company. Sirius, which broadcasts more than 130 channels, has a handful of other channels dedicated to individual artists, including Elvis Presley, the Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and Frank Sinatra.
Very, very cool. Preset number 1 will be re-programmed accordingly!
PS - I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted, and I’ve got a bunch to talk about. I’ll get to it soon…
May 13th, 2007 — Arsenal FC

Thanks indeed to Graham Poll, and the linesman whose name escapes me. Otherwise, a completely drab afternoon of football would have been even more unbearable. As it was, I suppose going out with a whimper sort of sums up the season as a whole. The promise was there (a missed penalty by Baptista among others), but in the end, we’re all left wanting.
August can’t come soon enough.
May 7th, 2007 — New York Yankees

With a surprise appearance in George Steinbrenner’s personal box at Yankee Stadium, Roger Clemens announced to a sell-out crowd that he has re-joined the Yankees, and expects to make his first start in about three to four weeks.
Take a quick look at the schedule for three to four weeks from now, and who do you see? Why, it’s the Boston Red Sox. Hmm, seems as likely a time as any.
May 6th, 2007 — New York Rangers

Unable to recover from the horrible collapse of Friday night, the Rangers were out gunned by the Sabres to crash out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs this afternoon. Four goals in the second period did the damage as Buffalo now moves on to the Eastern Conference finals against the Ottawa Senators. If there’s a silver lining, it’s that the Rangers were in every one of these games except game one, and that bodes well for the future.
May 6th, 2007 — Arsenal FC

Gilbo’s second penalty conversion in as many matches proved enough to send the title north to Manchester as Arsenal drew with Chelsea 1-1 at the Grove earlier today.
Arsenal started the better of the two sides, and really should have been up by more than one when Chelsea got their equalizer, a glancing header by Michael Essien reviving the ten-men Blues and sparking them into action. Chelsea were playing as if the title depended on it, while Arsenal were simply playing not to lose.
In the dying moments, Emmanuel Eboue almost won it for the Gunners with a shot so powerful, it surely must have left a dent in the crossbar it hit.
So, in the end, a mixed bag of emotions for Gooners the world over, as the result denies Chelski the title, but, a win would have been so much better, and it certainly had been there for the taking.
One game left this season, Sunday at 10 AM ET at Portsmouth. The Gunners will be looking for a victory to close out the season. Should they earn the win, a Liverpool draw or loss on Sunday will see Arsenal improve on last year’s fourth place finish by leapfrogging the Champions League finalists to third.
