There are times that we missed that ambiance and feeling of staying in a cozy hotel but due to lack of money and budget constraints we end up in our room whenever we want to relax. We know how expensive it is to try out those hotels especially when staying in New York, may it be 3 stars to 5 stars unless we are that filthy rich and can afford to try out those luxuries. I’ve tried inquiring at a Manhattan hotel and MAN! My pocket empty is not enough!

As a budget traveler, I make sure I maximize the time I spent in a certain place may it be cozy or not. I don’t want to ruin my journey with a messy room and unorganized one. One thing I’ve learned from New York Travel consultant is to look into 6 basic rules every interior should know which includes the right color, schemes, proportion and scale, contrast, rhythm and harmony. If you try to add this in your every journey, once you entered your room, look for this basic rules, if it isn’t included in a room try adding it on your own and practice your own skills in designing a room. That’s what I’ve found in a hotel in Times Square. We all know that Times Square is the place to be.

Try to use those cheap rooms as a challenge to play your creative minds on how you can make it into something more extravagant. After that, enjoy the room, relax and have fun. It doesn’t really matter where you stay as long as you are in NYC and knows how to party and have fun!

Not all destinations are best suited for a family ski holiday for that reason below are some tips for selecting the ideal ski resort.

How to pick your resort

When choosing a destination there are some key factors to think about. Probably the most important aspects is the ski schools, ensure there are ski instructors that speak English as this will not only put your children at ease it will also lower the chance of miscommunication. Second of all if your children are not old enough to ski you need to look for a ski resort that has first-rate childcare facilities some ski resorts even have in-chalet nurseries and children’s clubs, many luxury ski chalets will offer in-house nannies. Ultimately youngsters need a range of activities to keep them interested so ski resorts that boast plenty of off-piste activities including tobogganing are better for family ski holidays.

Even heading out of the door in a morning takes more time when youngsters are involved. You have to make sure that your children are dressed suitably for the slopes. So the last thing you want after that is to take a bus to the nursery slopes, therefore pick a chalet which is situated close to the slopes.

Best ski resorts for family ski holidays

France is a wonderful place for a family ski holiday with a great deal of the ski resorts catering incredibly well for families. Ski France makes it easy to identify the top resorts for a family ski holiday by giving them a ‘Family Plus Mountain ’ label. The ‘Family Plus’ label is a exclusive national label granted to French ski resorts that are able to offer services especially for the various needs of children and families.

Our recommened resorts all have a ‘Family Plus Mountain Label’.

Val Thorens

Each year the more off-piste activities are created in Val Thorens. There are plenty of sporting activities such as paragliding and with pursuits for guests of all ages it is no wonder Val Thorens is a popular resort for all the family. There is also a cinema which shows films in English.

Tignes

The gentle and wide green slopes in Tignes make it a great starting place for families who are hitting the slopes for the first time. The resort also offers a variety of off-piste activities and shares its ski domain with Val d’Isere.

La Plagne

This fantastic resort has a wide range of runs suitable for all abilities. There is an assortment of activities to entertain children as well as a selection of kids clubs.

The best time to go on your family ski holiday

If you have school-aged children you don’t really have much of a choice when it comes to deciding when to go on your ski holiday and unfortunately for families this tends to be the most expensive time to go. Sometimes British school holidays are different to European holidays which can be an advantage for British families.

When to book your family ski holiday

The ideal time to book ski holiday for your family is the moment next seasons dates are available. There is no point hoping for a great last minute deal if you are restricted to school holidays as these dates are likely to be booked up fairly quickly. If you book early enough you may be able to get a good early bird deals which includes discounted kids places or free lift passes.

Every year there are a lot of people who find that they want to travel to a different place in the world for their vacation. In other instances there are a lot of people who find that they are called away to another country for business purposes. Typically, when it comes to traveling, business people and leisure travelers will often have different needs and requirements when it comes to their air fare. For business men and women the need may be more towards convenience and expediency rather than having the most comfortable seat or the most ideal departure date and time.

Going on holidays to Malaga via airplane can be a very expensive ordeal if you are not frugal; about how you approach the situation. Being able to have all of your bases covered before you leave is a great help. In addition to making sure that your home life is well looked after you will want to make sure that you are able to get the best deal on air fare, so comparing as many different air lines as possible is a very good idea. Saving money on your vacation flight is a great asset when you are going overseas because having more money to spend on taking in the experience is much better than spending too much money on your flight.

If you are travelling to Majorca this year for your holidays then you probably don’t want to spend the entire two weeks sitting on a beach. The good news is that there is so much more to Majorca than beaches and sun. It might very well be the case that this is exactly what you are looking for from your holiday but chances are that after a few days, you will want to do something else as well. The following are some of the things you can do on Majorca holidays:

· If you want to experience the culture in Majorca then a trip to one of the morning markets is highly recommended. You will find some real bargains at these markets as well as some delicious local produce. You can enjoy your shopping experience alongside the locals as this is where they do their own shopping.

· If you are planning on spending your days at the beach, then why not enjoy some of the water sports that are usually on offer. Things like jet skiing, scuba diving and snorkelling are very popular.

· Take some time out to visit some of the fabulous places to eat and drink on the island. You can sample some of the local cuisine this way provided of course you opt for something besides fish and chips!

Vanuatu is a beautiful chain of islands that is located in the South Pacific Ocean some distance east of Australia. The entire 83 island chain is divided into 6 distinct provinces, although visitors on Vanuatu holidays are free to move between the islands without restriction. The area is geologically active, and has a range of terrain available for exploration from mountain peaks to rain forests, down to the deep waters off the coast.

Port Vila is the largest city in Vanuatu and also serves as the capitol of the country. It is a good place to visit and is the location where many people on Vanuatu holidays will first arrive. The main attraction for tourists is the National Museum and Cultural Center that contains a wide range of displays that document the culture of the Ni-Vanuatu people who inhabit the archipelago. The display includes gongs, carvings, woven textiles, and other cultural items that have been collected from all of the surrounding islands.

Beyond Port Vila, another place to visit is Tanna Island. The main attraction on the island is Mount Yasur, an active volcano. Regular tours and hiking guides can take visitors directly up to the rim at the top of volcano. This is a really unique experience since the volcano has been erupting constantly for hundreds of years, although when eruptions become particularly aggressive, the local government restricts visits to the summit until it has calmed down again.

Epi Island is a very tourist friendly part of Vanuatu that is well known for its nature tours. The island has its own accommodations, but also contains a number of undisturbed areas where unique butterflies and birds that live in the rainforest-like conditions can be seen. Off the coast of Epi is the Nikaura Marine Protected Area. This is a protected coral reef where visitors can go out with guides and snorkel along the reef to view the colorful and exotic underwater environment.

Between April and June, people on Vanuatu holidays should consider visiting Pentecost Island. This island has very few amenities, no formal towns, and only the simplest accommodations. The reason to visit between April and June, however, is to see the nanggol or land diving ritual. This is a ceremony where young boys and men jump off of a high platform only to have vines and natural ropes break their fall, much like bungee jumping.

Espiritu Santo is the largest island in the Vanuatu archipelago. Like many of the other islands, it contains a wide array of naturally scenic areas and quiet locations to explore. Some of the main draws to Espiritu Santo, however, are the beaches. Champagne and Lonnoc are two beaches that overlook the calm, stark blue water of the harbor. The beaches themselves are made from sand that is very pale and almost white. Between the two beaches is the Blue Hole, which is an area where water filters up through limestone and creates a still body of water that is a deep, rich blue in color.

Simply put, Amsterdam is one of the jewels of Europe, given the beautiful and varied attractions, loads of things to do and explore, and the whole cosmopolitan charm to it. Although a bustling metropolis, the Dutch capital has retained its relationship with the old world through historical buildings, monuments and other important sites of yore. Amsterdam’s events calendar inspires one to do more and more. Celebrations, opera performances, music and dance shows, festivals, fairs, theater nights, there are opportunities one too many here. The canal city caters to all kinds of tourists, be it a backpacker or one on a luxurious vacation. So, you find plenty of lavish lodgings and indulgent ways to enjoy coexisting with cheap hotel accommodations and free-for-all amusements.

A rainy day can ruin a vacation day, especially if the entire family is forced to stay inside a hotel room. Most parents would be tempted to take the entire family on an unplanned trip for the day to get everyone somewhere dry where they will not be on top of one another in the room. An apartment, on the other hand, provides the space and privacy to make that day more comfortable without the unexpected expense of an unplanned day trip.

Hiring bicycles is one of the most popular options for people visiting Amsterdam, and many of the locals also get around using pedal-power. If you are travelling from one of the Amsterdam hotels on the city’s outskirts into the centre, you will no doubt have the pleasure of a designated bike lane all the way. This may not continue throughout the whole of the city centre, but bicycles have the right of way and drivers are more than used to accounting for wobbly tourists on bikes.

Next destination on my list is the land where they think nothing is interesting, but no Oklahoma is the way to go! At first I have no idea why travelers and back packers like me always add Oklahoma particularly Tulsa and Oklahoma City on their list. All I see in pictures are vast orangey sunset, mountains and sun. Then I realize, thats the beauty that you must see. First time I stopped by here was a little quick since it was just a stop over from one of our state tour near Oklahoma, Texas in particular which will take hours if you know a shortcut from OK to TX.

We stayed at one of the motels ten moved to one bricktown OK hotels near the area where we find it more comfy to stay with a reasonable price. The staff where very friendly and we were able to ask some other info about the place which made us more exciting to visit Oklahoma City again.

We plan the visit early next year since they advise us that a lot of establishment are on renovation now after the last semi disaster the city experience. I think they were hit by a tornado or earthquake if my memory serves me right. They advice us tat Jan-Mar are the best weather to visit since December is not favorable due to the said incident. Ok Christmas would have been fun. But January is near anyways so it OKEY.

Austria is one of the best places in the world to ski. The moment you arrive, you feel like you are in the archetypal ski resort. All of the buildings are of the traditional Alpine style with steep roof lines, for the most part covered in thick white snow. You will find the resorts to be efficiently run, with excellent snow throughout the season in the higher resorts. Because Austria is a little further north than some of the other Alpine countries, it tends to get the better snow fall and have a slightly longer season too.

To find a deal in Austria for an affordable skiing holiday you have to use the internet. This is the best way to find good deals, and you will find that if you search for Late Ski Deals in Austria you can pick up some fantastic bargains. This of course means that you have to book a little late on in the season, but the savings you can make can be startling.

You will also find that the Ski hotels in Austria are a cut above many of the other forms of accommodation you may have come across in other resorts, so this is another thing to factor into the way that you search for your accommodation.

You shouldn’t need any further encouragement to book a holiday skiing in Austria, but if you do, just take a quick look at their snowfall reports. They illustrate perfectly why you should ski in Austria

The last trail I had been last March, argh, that was really a long time ago isn’t it? I remember how hard it was for the group to take that Himalayan Trail for 5 days. I swear, I almost didn’t make it. It was like one of those episodes in Discovery Channel where you want to almost almost give up when you don’t see the any sign of where you are going. Worst, when pain goes with your trail. It was a bad decision for me to wear that cheapskate mountain hiking shoes since that was an impromptu trip. You know, where friends are drinking then suddenly one friend suggested, “Hey, lets try the Himalayas”…since we were all drunk, we just said YES! And there we go. It was all fun and adventure anyway. As they say, unplanned trips are always the fun one.

This time they are planning another trip for Pinatubo trail. Since I’m low on budget, I only have another cheap hiking shoes since I’m not really that type of hiker who will use those expensive hiking shoes anytime. A friend suggested for me to buy shoe inserts arch support. He told me it can reduce the pain I feel for my hike and I can even use it with my other shoes. I’m not even sure if its my time to use this support, but my friend who broke a tendon on his ankle have tried it and it works that he was save from having an operation which was advice first by his doctor podiatrist.

I’m still thinking of getting one shoe support just in case. My friends already listed this arch support as his mustbring for his every trip for us not to live in pain and just enjoy our travel adventure.
